The Cleveland Restoration Society produced a Guide to Maintaining your Mid-Century Modern Home for homeowners to understand and appreciate their mid-century modern homes.

 

The National Park Service has their Preservation Briefs available online that can help homeowners with older buildings recognize and fix some common problems. They have standards for restoring, rehabilitating, reconstructing, and restoring older buildings and structures.

 

The Environmental Protection Agency has information regarding lead hazards found inside and outside of the home. If you home was built prior to 1978, there is a chance that it has lead-based paint. Their information on protecting families from lead can be helpful if you are worried about lead-based paint in and on your home.
